Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers are among several EFL sides monitoring highly-rated non-league teenager Ronnie Blois, according to sources.

The 18-year-old forward has netted 13 goals for Southern League Premier Division Central club Leiston, with his form and long-term potential catching the attention of clubs higher up the pyramid.

Leiston are understood to be aware of the mounting interest, and Blois is expected to be handed trial opportunities by a number of EFL teams keen to take a closer look.

Blackburn, along with other Football League clubs, have been keeping tabs on the physical striker, who currently ranks as the top-scoring 18-year-old across steps one to three of non-league football in England.

While focusing on survival in the Championship, Blackburn are also planning for the future. The Lancashire side remain locked in a relegation battle, having struggled to fully distance themselves from the drop zone in recent months.

However, under Michael O’Neill, there has been a noticeable upturn in form. Rovers have suffered just one defeat in their last six league matches, giving their survival hopes a timely boost.

Club Fixture 1 Fixture 2 Fixture 3 Fixture 4 Fixture 5

Blackburn’s remaining fixtures compared to their Championship relegation rivals.

Despite that improvement, their Championship status remains under threat, with Blackburn sitting just four points above the relegation places ahead of a crucial clash with league leaders Coventry City.

Amid that uncertainty, the club are continuing to scout emerging talent and see Blois as a player with significant upside. A trial could be offered in the near future, with the possibility of a place in their academy system being discussed.

They are not alone in their admiration, though, with several other EFL clubs also weighing up moves for the young striker, who is expected to have multiple options soon.

Meanwhile, Blackburn are also exploring a potential bargain deal in the goalkeeping department. Interest remains in Dundee FC shot-stopper Jon McCracken, who is attracting attention from a number of EFL clubs.

The 25-year-old is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, making him an appealing free-agent target. He has registered five clean sheets in 33 league appearances this campaign.

Dundee are keen to keep hold of him and are in talks over a new deal, but Blackburn are among those hoping to prise him away, with the chance to move to the EFL likely to be an attractive proposition.
