99 is the Number as the count down begins for New Orleans Saint
The clock is ticking down to the first game of the New Orleans Saints’ season.
In the 99 days leading up to their September 7th game against the Arizona Cardinals, we’re going back in Saints history to see who wore the jersey number.
Defensive end Chase Young, who is featured in our Player of the Day feature, wears jersey number 99.
After joining the club last summer, Young defeated defensive tackle Khalen Saunders to win it. Notable tackles who have worn it include Tony Elliott, the legendary Shy Tuttle, Hollis Thomas, and Norman Hand.
