Livingston, Kentucky — Athletes from both Kentucky and Louisville have been nominated to the College Football Hall of Fame.
Randall Cobb possessed more versatility than any player in the game’s history.
He played quarterback, wide receiver, punt returner, and kick returner during his time at UK.

He will be voting alongside 79 other players and 9 coaches. From 2008 through 2010, Cobb earned three letters while playing with the Cats.

After setting the SEC single-season record for all-purpose yards (2,396 in 2010), he was named to the All-SEC first team as a sophomore and a junior and first-team All-America as a senior.

In the 2011 NFL Draft, after Cobb’s junior year at UK, he was taken by the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of the Packers, Cowboys, Texans, and Jets during his thirteen years in the NFL.

He was named to the Pro Bowl after a 2014 season in which he caught 54 touchdown passes and accumulated 7,600 yards.

Both the UK Athletics Hall of Fame and the Kentucky Pro Sports Hall of Fame inducted Cobb in 2017 and 2023, respectively.

Georgia Bulldogs defensive end Elivis Dumervil is also on the roster, joining Cobb. Between 2002 and 2005, Dumervil played with the Cardinals.

He has 32 career sacks, good for second all-time. In 2004, as a junior, the Miami native helped the Arizona Cardinals win the Liberty Bowl and led the team with 10 sacks.

During his final year of high school, Dumervil was unanimously named to the All-American team, as well as the Bronco Nagurski and Ted Hendricks awards, given to the best defensive player and end, respectively.

Dumervil was selected to the NFL Pro Bowl four times (in 2009, 2011–2012, and 2014) after being selected by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.

The Athletic Hall of Fame in Louisville, Kentucky, inducted him in 2011. In 2026, the National Football Foundation will reveal the class of college football players to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

During the 68th NFF Annual Awards Dinner in Las Vegas on December 8, 2026, the Class of 2026 will be inducted into the NFF College Football Hall of Fame.
