As reported by ClutchPoints, the Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly considering trading for Deni Avdija, a forward for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Memphis is researching the Israeli wing, who had a breakout season, in preparation for the next NBA Draft.
In the days leading up to the NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly considering making a deal for Israeli forward Deni Avdija.

Avdija has come up in several discussions as someone the team could be interested in retooling around, in addition to Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr.

In the days leading up to the NBA Draft, Memphis reportedly is conducting “due diligence” on the 24-year-old Portland Trail Blazers point guard.

Putting the franchise’s three key players on a well-rounded, intelligent squad seems to be the goal of executive VP and general manager Zach Kleiman and new head coach Tuomas Iisalo.
After joining the Blazers from the Washington Wizards in the summer of 2017, Avdija enjoyed a breakout season.
He shot 37% from beyond the arc and averaged 16.9 points, 7.3 boards, and 3.9 assists in his most recent 148 games played. His true shooting percentage was 60.5%.

The Grizzlies may be considering “the easiest, most financially sensible play” in the present market to get Avdija, according to sources. A hefty sum will be requested.

The Grizzlies would have to give up a number of first-round selections and some good young players to get Avdija, who is highly valued by Portland.

Memphis would supposedly send Avdija to the Suns in exchange for Brandon Clarke, GG Jackson, a protected first-round selection in 2026, a first-round pick swap in 2028, and a slew of second-round picks.
