The newest transfer rumors about Chelsea come after Mauricio Pochettino’s first effort to improve his defense was turned down.

There are reports that Chelsea is planning to stop Manchester United from signing Antonio Silva, a highly rated defender from Benfica, in January. It’s been a year since the center-back got a lot of attention for being one of the best players in Europe at his position.

Since making his way up through Benfica’s strong talent pipeline at the start of the previous season, Silva, who is 20 years old, has played in 67 games. He has also worked his way up through the ranks of the Portugal national team, and Roberto Martinez is likely to include him in his team for the European Championships this summer.

Man United and Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in the back, but The Sun says that Chelsea are thinking about making Silva their first signing of the January transfer window because they are happy with how he has played.

There are rumors that the defender convinced Chelsea’s scouts after they watched him play well in Benfica’s 3-0 win over Famalicao for a few weeks in 2023.

With Mauricio Pochettino in charge, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, and Levi Colwill are all getting a lot of starts at center back. Wesley Fofana, who Chelsea bought for £80 million, will also be glad to be back from illness. The former Leicester City player has had a hard time getting used to life in London, even though he has been hurt before.

Todd Boehly has talked to Benfica about a possible deal for Silva, their star player, who will be 40 years old next season. They are also making plans for tomorrow. The Portuguese team has already turned down a £52 million offer that included Armando Broja. Now, they want clubs to pay Silva’s £87 million release option.

Even though Sim Jim Ratcliffe, the founder of INEOS, made his investment public, United’s business in January is likely to be hard to set up. Since the Premier League hasn’t agreed to the deal yet, it’s not possible that money will be added right away.

Even so, Chelsea might still have trouble getting Silva this window. Roger Schmidt, the manager of Benfica, has already said that the defender will not be moving the team in January. “I talk to all of them every day,” he said. In the middle of the season, we have big goals.

“These guys can’t leave. They don’t want to leave, and we need them.

It’s as if you read my mind; you seem to know so much about this that it’s as if you wrote the book in it or something. Although I believe a few images would help to drive home the point a bit more, this is an outstanding site. I will definitely be back.
