The Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 now has a great football player. From 1993 to 1997, Aaron Taylor played for Nebraska.
Taylor is unique because he is the only football player in Nebraska history to be named All-America at both left guard and center. He won three national titles and was named to the first team of All-Americans twice.

He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018 and his No. 67 shirt was retired in 1998. Kevin Davis (men’s gymnastics, 1985–88); Diandra Hyman (bowling, 1999–2002); Lisa Reitsma (volleyball, 1994–97); and Stephanie Thater (volleyball, 1989–92) are also in the 2025 class. Troy Dannen, who is in charge of sports at Nebraska, had great things to say about the five new Hall of Famers.
In Husker Athletics, we often talk about having a goal that everyone else will try to reach.

These Hall of Famers did all of that and more, and they now motivate our current student players to do their best.

We’re excited to have the 2025 Hall of Fame Class back on campus this fall for their induction event.

There, we’ll celebrate their accomplishments and recognize how they have affected the University of Nebraska.
The 2025 Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame class will be introduced on Friday, Oct. 31, and then honored on Saturday, Nov. 1, during the Nebraska-USC football game.
