The 2026 recruiting class at Nebraska football lost their top-rated commit.
The 2026 class of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team lost its top recruit.
On Tuesday, four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh reportedly rescinded his pledge to the Huskers, as reported by On3 Sports.
Since November 26th, Bronaugh had committed to Nebraska. He paid Lincoln a formal visit on June 6.
In addition, he visited Florida on May 30 and Florida State on June 13, both in his official capacity.
According to 247sports Composite, Bronaugh—a native of Winter Garden, Florida—is the 99th best recruit in the class of 2026. Nebraska now has five commits out of its 2026 class thanks to his recommitment.
Among these are Hayden Ainsworth and Rex Waterman, two offensive linemen who recently pledged their allegiance to the Huskers; Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte, a wide receiver; Jase Reynolds, a linebacker from Elkhorn North; and Dayton Raiola, a quarterback with three stars and the younger brother of Dylan Raiola, the current quarterback at Nebraska. 247sports ranks Nebraska’s 2026 class as the 74th best in college football.
