As per reports from L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain is exploring the possibility of acquiring Borussia Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel (26) as they evaluate their goalkeeping options.
Representatives from PSG and Kobel have communicated in recent months, indicating that a summer transfer is possible. Kobel has developed as a vital figure for Borussia Dortmund, starting every game during their tight Bundesliga runner-up campaign last season.
The Parisian club has openly acknowledged a desire to improve their goalkeeping department. While any potential transfer would not definitely entail replacing Gianluigi Donnarumma (24), there appears to be a mismatch between the club’s current style of play and Donnarumma’s strengths.
