Norwich City strike quick signing agreement – medical set for Saturday

Norwich City are aiming to bolster Philippe Clement’s attacking options this winter and have been assessing several candidates.

Earlier in the window, Danish outlets revealed the Canaries had submitted an offer for Bodø/Glimt forward Kasper Høgh on January 20, but that move was quickly shut down by head coach Kjetil Knutsen.

Attention has now shifted elsewhere, with the Danish media claiming Randers FC striker Mohamed Touré has emerged as a late target. Bold reported on Friday that Norwich were in discussions with Randers, and Tipsbladet have since added that those talks have progressed significantly.

The report states Norwich City have reached an agreement with Randers for the Australia international, with the total fee set to rise to €4m including bonuses.

That figure would represent an almost record-breaking sale for Randers, whose highest previous transfer stands at €4m following Tammer Bany’s move to West Bromwich Albion last year.

Touré was absent from Randers’ squad for Friday’s 1-0 friendly defeat to Rosenborg, a decision reportedly linked to the agreement with Norwich.

According to Tipsbladet, the deal has moved swiftly, with the 21-year-old travelling to England on Saturday to complete a medical before signing his contract.

While details of the personal terms have not been disclosed, Norwich are expected to formalise the signing without delay.

Touré joined Randers from Stade de Reims in July 2024 and has registered 12 goals and nine assists in 49 appearances for the club, including four goals and five assists this season.
