Wrexham boss delivers injury setback update on Tom O’Connor
Phil Parkinson has admitted it is a real blow to see Tom O’Connor’s season brought to an early end after the midfielder picked up a hamstring injury.
O’Connor, who has been on a season-long loan at Peterborough United, was forced off during their League One home defeat to Plymouth Argyle on January 17.

Those initial fears have now been confirmed, with the 26-year-old ruled out for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.
Parkinson says he sympathises with the versatile player, who can operate in midfield or at centre-back and has enjoyed three successive promotions since joining Wrexham from Burton Albion in January 2023. O’Connor will return to the club to continue his rehabilitation.
The Wrexham boss also provided a positive update on Lewis Brunt, revealing the centre-back has responded well to a recent scan following a minor setback and could soon be back running on the grass.
