One player on the 2025–26 Kentucky Wildcats team cost a huge amount of money—zero.

Kentucky spent a lot of NIL money on the 2025-26 basketball roster.

A lot has changed in college basketball since players can now get paid for their name, image, and likeness.

Since this became legal, the money these players make has gone through the roof every season.
Fox Sports just released an article with a list of the ten college players with the highest NIL evaluations.

One of them is a Kentucky Wildcat named Jayden Quaintance, who has a NIL evaluation of $1.9 million and is the sixth highest-paid player in college basketball.

In their NIL report on the Wildcats center, Fox Sports said, “Quaintance is the youngest player on this list.” Quaintance has already played college basketball for a year, even though he won’t be 18 until July. He played at Arizona State last season.

After being named to the All-Defensive and All-Freshman teams for the Big 12, Quaintance went through the gate and ended up at Kentucky.

He is said to have deals with PSD Underwear and Panini America, but Quaintance probably also made money off of Kentucky’s growing NIL spending.

It is said that Kentucky will be one of the three teams in college basketball that spends the least on players for the 2025–26 season.

This will help Mark Pope get a strong transfer portal class. Quaintance, who is named No. 26 on On3’s list of the most valuable college athletes, is recovering from an ACL tear.

He hopes to be back on the court early next season as he tries to become a top pick in the 2026 draft.

The only thing surprising about this list is not seeing Otega Oweh listed as he was reportedly bringing in a ton of NIL money after deciding to pull out of the NBA Draft.

Quaintance is deserving of every penny he is getting in NIL money as he is going to be one of the best bigs in college hoops, and he is listed as a projected top five pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
