Ex-Birmingham City player makes devastating revelation about losing use of his legs
Former Birmingham City player Jason Bowen has revealed he is losing the use of his legs as his battle with Motor neurone disease continues to progress.
The 53-year-old, who was diagnosed five years ago, says his condition is steadily deteriorating. He explained that his mobility has significantly declined, while weakness has also spread to his arms and voice, making everyday activities increasingly difficult.

Bowen first noticed early symptoms such as muscle twitching and weakness in his hand before receiving a diagnosis within weeks. Although he initially managed the illness through rehabilitation, he has since had to stop due to extreme fatigue.
Motor neurone disease is a life-limiting condition that affects the brain and nerves, leading to worsening muscle weakness over time. There is currently no cure.
During his playing career, Bowen earned two senior caps for Wales and featured for clubs including Swansea, Birmingham City, Southampton, Reading, Cardiff, Newport and Llanelli before retiring in 2013.
