The Detroit Tigers have signed right-handed pitcher Jack Flaherty to a two-year, $35 million contract, as per a report from Jeff Passan. Flaherty’s return to the Tigers follows an impressive stint with the team last year. The agreement contains an opt-out after the first season.
Flaherty is guaranteed $25 million in 2025, with an additional $10 million in 2026, according to the contract. Furthermore, the salary for the second year could reach as much as $20 million if he starts 15 games in 2025. Flaherty, who achieved success with the Tigers last season, will be a critical component of the Tigers’ rotation in the future.
