Amid criticism of the Knicks center, Kyrie Irving delivers a forceful warning about Karl-Anthony Towns.
After the New York Knicks were eliminated from the playoffs, Karl-Anthony Towns has been the target of intense criticism; now, NBA great Kyrie Irving has spoken out over the matter.
The New York Knicks had a historic season, making it to the Conference Finals after a drought of more than 20 years.
But their elimination by the Indiana Pacers set off a firestorm of criticism, with Karl-Anthony Towns taking the brunt of it. Superstar Kyrie Irving of the NBA has now spoken out about it.

Y’all gotta stop making fun of my brother KAT. I’m done with y’all,” Kyriebegan in a video shared on social media. “Stop making fun of my brother KAT. It’s over. It’s a (expletive) wrap. I’m letting y’all know, if you repost that (expletive) again, meme him up, I’m attacking you. Not like that physically in GTA, but I’m attacking you.”
Towns has been the subject of intense criticism ever since the New York Knicks’ Game 6 loss to the Indiana Pacers around two weeks ago.
Even though he averaged a respectable 21.4 points per game in the playoffs, the center has since been criticized for his performances.

Not only that, but people have started making fun of him because of how he looks.
The situation became worse when Gilbert Arenas, a former NBA player, made derogatory remarks about KAT’s body type, comparing it to a WNBA player.
Irving somewhat defends Karl-Anthony because of their common history.
Towns was born in Edison, New Jersey, whereas Kyrie was born in Australia but spent his childhood in West Orange.
Because of their shared geography, the Dallas Mavericks point guard has developed feelings for the center.
Kyrie then on to detail the difficulties Karl-Anthony has encountered and surmounted throughout his life.
Leave him alone. Because he’s Dominican, he’s Black, he grew up in a certain area in Jersey, just like me, and you gotta survive out here,” said the 2016 NBA champion.
In order to survive out here, you’ll need to adapt to the many various types of individuals you’ll encounter. I don’t always agree with his tone, I don’t always agree with everything that (expletive), that (expletive) be humorous, but seriously, he is a guy, my brother, and I consistently protect him, Irving ended.
