Jared Goff, the quarterback for the Lions, who threw three touchdown passes, was awarded the Pro Bowl Games Offensive Most Valuable Player while contributing to the NFC’s triumph over the AFC with a score of 76-63 in the flag football game that concluded the weekend’s events.

Concurrently, Byron Murphy, the cornerback for the Vikings, was awarded the title of Defensive Most Valuable Player at the Pro Bowl Games. Goff executed an exemplary performance in “passing the test,” contributing significantly to the NFC’s establishment of a 14-7 lead over the AFC during the inaugural evening of the Pro Bowl Games on Thursday.

Following assistance from Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs through an NFL trivia contest, Goff demonstrated his passing proficiency by successfully striking every target, and then some, within a time frame of one minute and thirty seconds. He accumulated a total of 44 points for the NFC, surpassing his colleague Sam Darnold of Minnesota by five points.

Goff, Darnold, and Baker Mayfield of Tampa Bay decisively triumphed over the AFC quarterback contingent, which included Joe Burrow of Cincinnati, Drake Maye of New England, and Russell Wilson of Pittsburgh. The passing game emerged as the most notable feature among the six events during the inaugural evening.

The NFC secured victories in two out of three relay races, a skills competition entitled “Satisfying Catches,” and a game show for NFL teammates known as “Helmet Harmony,” which bore a resemblance to “The Newlywed Game.” This report includes contributions from the Associated Press.
